An Investment that Works (.pdf)
An Investment that Works is a new initiative designed to help you build participation and support for your career program and services. The heart of this initiative is a booklet and CD for you to present to administrators and decision-makers at your college. These items provide information about career programs and document their benefits to your students and college. These booklets are designed for administrators and managers at your college.
- Put information about your specific program in the space provided on the back page of the booklet.
- Show the CD to your supervisor and/or manager along with a copy of the booklet. Talk about ways to share these with other decision-makers at your college.
- Share the CD and booklet with your administrative council or planning and budget groups.
- Share both items with your college president as an information item or as they beginning of a discussion about support for your program. This can be a great time to say, "Thank You" for past support!
- Whenever possible, share the booklet in person and use it as an opportunity to tell others about the importance of your program and services. To order the CD please email Felicia Jones at fjones@occ.cccd.edu.
